Don't wanna sound weird, but it's really likely that ashley and mary-kate actully had another sister, really early in the womb then it was just gone, before anyone could have seen it like 3 days after their mother found out she was pregnant.

The final product looks more like Ashley than Mary Kate. To the people who say Mary Kate is uglier because she went all anorexic, this is proof that she USED to be the prettiest one. Ashley has always looked more alien-like to me, even when they were kids. And for you "morons" who think that the twins are identical, you're wrong, they're fraternal. I know a pair of fraternal twins that look quite alike, but each year they get older they look more different, it's just the way it goes.
